Guides are age 10 to 14 years
The girls work together in small groups called patrols and, with the support of their leader, choose and run some of the programme themselves. Meetings can take place indoors or outdoors and the girls can enjoy a wide variety of exciting activities from the adventurous such as climbing, archery or boating to games, crafts, cooking and community action projects. Many units go away for weekends or longer, either under canvas, in a house or youth hostel, on a canal boat or even overseas.
In Guides you make new friends , choose what activities you want to do, challenge yourself and you learn to be independent, help others and yourself. Guides enjoy activities both indoors and outdoors such as going to the Big Gig with top class acts, go climbing, abseiling camping, and loads more that you can read about on Girlguiding UK website.Guidewear includes t-shirts, sweat shirts, rugby shirts, etc.
